summer holidays in the stubai valley

Stop, take a deep breath and simply enjoy the fabulous 360° panorama high up in the Stubai Alps.

Nestling between 3000m peaks and the mighty Stubai Glacier is the four-star Stubaierhof. As you wake up in the morning and open the curtains, just one glance out of the window will be enough to make you smile from cheek to cheek. After a healthy and hearty breakfast it is time to pull on your hiking boots and head for the hills. Of course ,it is entirely up to you where you go and what you see. How about an easy walk along the Wild Water Trail? Or a tough ascent to the top of the iconic Habicht mountain at over 3000 metres above sea level?

hike to the INNSBRUCKER HÜTTE at 2,369M

This hike to the Innsbrucker Hütte hut is one of the real classics in the Stubai Valley. It starts with a ride on the cable car to a plateau overlooking the valley. An easy trail then leads down to the Karalm hut. From there hikers walk further into the Pinnistal Valley up to the Pinnisjoch ridge, where the Innsbrucker Hütte is situated at 2,369 metres above sea level.

Via larch forests on the sunny side of the Stubai Valley
panoramic hike

This circular hike through forests and meadows begins in the small town of Telfes in the Stubai Valley and leads via family-friendly trails first to the Gasthaus Stockerhof. After a stop at this guesthouse for a drink and a snack, walkers continue towards Kreith. Before you reach the village itself, the trail turns off and leads along next to the route used by the Stubaitalbahn tram. After a while you reach the lush Telfer Wiesen meadows with their fantastic views of the entire valle all the way to the Stubai Glacier

"NEUSTIFT BESINNUNGSWEG" In the PINNISTAL valley

This three-hour hike starts right outside our front door in Neustift and leads via a mountain path to the eastern side of the Pinnistal Valley at 1397 metres. All in all there are 16 interactive stations and plenty of benches along the "Besinnungsweg".

This educational trail was created as a shared project by the church and the local tourism board. Many volunteers helped make the 16 stations and the trail itself without the use of any machines.

day hike: HOHES MOOS

This hike is particularly recommended for nature lovers. It starts in the small village of Falbeson and leads up towards the Neue Regensburger Hütte hut. Half way up hikers will reach a plateau and the pretty Falbesoner Ochsenalm. From there the trail continues – with views of the Falbesonbach Waterfall – up to the Neue Regensburger Hütte at 2,286m. Next to the hut there is a large alpine moor known as the "Hohes Moos" that is well worth a visit.
